Project Management Professional (PMP) Preparation

Project Management Professional (PMP) Preparation is a free program on ARPS, the Arab Platform for Professional Studies. Bilingual preparation for project-management decisions and the PMP exam. The design starts with PMI’s official outline and combines people, planning, delivery and business-environment decisions with calculations and explained practice. This is independent preparation, not PMI’s exam or the PMP credential.

Important notice: Independent external-exam preparation. Arab Platform for Professional Studies (ARPS) does not administer the official PMP exam, award PMP, or claim PMI partnership or endorsement.

About the program

Ten modules and 33 lessons progress from exam requirements and eligibility boundaries to teams, stakeholders, planning, resources, risk, governance and closure. AI, sustainability and delivery-approach selection connect across that sequence. Study moves from explanation and distinctions to a worked example, an exercise with guidance, a learning check and the module’s integrated summary. Assessment design separates practice with disclosed feedback from a protected internal completion test. The material contains 198 learning checks, 402 practice items and 120 separate internal-assessment items; Arabic and English are versions of one logical question, not two counted items.

Practical relevance

Applications use fictional organizations without a default country. Cases ask learners to choose acceptance criteria, resolve a capacity conflict, interpret a variance or prioritize risks while stating assumptions, units and decision limits. Exercises can transfer to a familiar organization without disclosing personal or confidential information or assuming local law or currency.

Why this program

Knowing an artifact’s name is different from knowing when to use it or who may authorize a change. The program addresses that gap: which fact makes one action stronger than a plausible alternative? Vision connects to success criteria, scope to acceptance, schedules to dependencies, cost to earned value, and change to authority. Reasoning does not rely on “always escalate” or “always analyze first”; an urgent safety constraint or an approved decision may justify immediate action.

Career relevance

The intended learner leads projects or coordinates delivery and change and wants to organize experience and test decisions. Comparisons help explain expectations, variances and commitments and communicate them rather than merely recall definitions. The program promises no job, promotion or income increase and does not convert study into qualifying leadership experience or approval of a PMP application.

What you will learn

  • Read the ECO version and eligibility conditions and distinguish PMI’s decision from preparation.
  • Justify ethical decisions using evidence, authority and context.
  • Build shared vision, resolve conflict and delegate within clear boundaries.
  • Engage stakeholders, align and monitor expectations, transfer knowledge and manage communication.
  • Select a delivery approach and integrate scope, planning, value and benefits.
  • Plan capacity, procurement, finance, quality and schedule and interpret numerical results.
  • Evaluate status, closure and transition without confusing delivery with realized benefits.
  • Apply governance, compliance and change control and distinguish issues, risks and impediments.
  • Improve work, support organizational change and respond to external developments.
  • Evaluate AI use and sustainability and select an error-review and question-reading strategy.
Learning outcomes (15)
  1. Explain the PMP outline revised on 11 August 2026 and published eligibility conditions, distinguishing internal preparation from PMI’s official examination and decision.
  2. Apply ethical and professional reasoning to exam situations, balancing honesty, responsibility, respect and fairness.
  3. Build shared vision, manage conflict and lead the project team contextually rather than relying on one leadership style.
  4. Analyze stakeholders, align and manage expectations, and plan communication and knowledge transfer.
  5. Develop integrated project-planning logic and select predictive, adaptive/agile or hybrid delivery based on evidence.
  6. Define project scope and connect it with acceptance, change, value, benefits and incremental delivery where appropriate.
  7. Plan resources and procurement and analyze capacity, contract and supplier-performance constraints without assuming one universal contracting model.
  8. Interpret core finance, quality and schedule concepts and use metrics, reserves and baselines appropriately.
  9. Evaluate project status and information artifacts and plan closure, transition, lessons and finalization.
  10. Define governance and compliance needs and manage approved changes through explicit decision and update paths.
  11. Distinguish impediments, issues and risks and plan response, monitoring, escalation and communication.
  12. Use continuous improvement, support organizational change and monitor external-environment changes and their effects.
  13. Analyze responsible AI use in projects with data governance, human verification and appropriate limits on reliance.
  14. Integrate sustainability and long-term value into planning, quality, risk and governance without unsupported claims.
  15. Solve original situational questions by reading the problem, eliminating distractors, distinguishing first/next action and managing time without shortcut tricks that replace PMI-aligned understanding.

Who it is for

  • PMP candidates needing task-led review rather than a book’s chapter sequence.
  • Project managers, delivery leads and coordinators reviewing decisions and calculations.
  • Learners seeking clear Arabic with an equivalent English edition and consistent terminology.
  • Project management office staff in government entities, construction and technology companies across the GCC and Arab countries who handle governance, change requests and reporting.
  • Project engineers and business analysts moving into delivery-lead roles in predictive, agile or hybrid teams.

Prerequisites

  • Basic familiarity with project work and simple tables and percentages; practical experience helps but enrollment does not verify it.
  • PMP is not required to study; external exam application is independently subject to PMI conditions and evidence.
  • Learners must verify the official exam owner's current eligibility requirements themselves before applying; this program is independent preparation and does not establish eligibility.
  • Regular study time for about 24 hours of content and assessments within a 30-day access window, with modules unlocking in sequence.
  • Readiness to perform earned-value and schedule calculations, analyze situational cases and explain the reasoning behind each answer rather than memorizing it.

What it does not offer

  • Awarding PMP or licensure, or guaranteeing eligibility or exam success.
  • Memorizing official questions, leaked banks or unconditional guessing rules.
  • Proving 35 recognized training hours without specific evidence of hours and eligibility.

Strengths

  • A task map links each topic to its lesson owner and specific explanation, application and assessment requirements.
  • Worked calculations show the method, units and interpretation, not only the result.
  • Explained practice is separate from protected-assessment families, with reserves calculated by topic and type.
  • A full content-and-time mock explicitly states limits of formats, navigation and approach ratios.
  • Two editions share IDs and outcomes; ten main summaries cover the lessons without overlap.

Evidence basis

Exam facts use PMI and the identified ECO revision. Access records distinguish consulted public text from a book overview without full-text access. Citing a publisher does not make it the program’s accreditor.

How the route works

Professional Certification Preparation programs help learners prepare for a recognized external certification through structured knowledge, review, practice questions, and readiness assessments. Arab Platform for Professional Studies (ARPS) does not administer the certification owner's official exam.

Structured self-paced study aligned to the current external certification scope, with knowledge review, practice questions, readiness checks, and internal mock assessments.

  • Focused preparation for a specific external certification.
  • Content aligned to the current official exam scope when available.
  • Practice questions and internal readiness assessments.
  • Clear separation between Arab Platform for Professional Studies (ARPS) preparation and the official external exam.

Assessment

The route includes an internal assessment for Arab Platform for Professional Studies (ARPS) completion eligibility and separate mock/readiness assessments that are not the external official exam.

Assessment attempts: 2 per assessment, 7 days apart

The pass mark is announced before the program is published.

Certificate

The Arab Platform for Professional Studies (ARPS) credential confirms completion of the preparation program only; the target professional certification requires passing the external issuer's examination under its rules.

Program questions

Which version does the design target?

The July 2026 ECO update, revised 11 August 2026. Sources and dates are retained in the certification record and reviewed when requirements change.

Can the program confirm my eligibility?

No. It teaches education/experience categories and non-overlapping months, but qualification evidence, experience and application acceptance are determined by PMI.

Does completion prove the 35-hour requirement?

No such claim is made. Lessons and an assessment alone do not prove qualifying training hours. Hours and PMI conditions require specific evidence; official hours remain unset.

Why separate practice from the completion test?

So feedback supports learning without recycling exposed questions or their families into the protected test. A mock result is neither a PMI score nor the internal credential decision.

What does the full mock simulate?

180 items in 240 minutes with arithmetically rounded domain quotas. Formats are single choice, multiple response and text matching, not every official interaction or break lock. It enforces no approach ratio and predicts no pass outcome.

How are quantitative topics studied?

Through worked capacity, schedule, cost and measurement cases with explicit assumptions, units and alternative errors. Memorizing a formula without interpretation is not the goal.

Do I need a paid AI tool?

No. The program studies AI, data and human-review decisions without requiring a model or sending information to an external service.

How should I use mistakes rather than memorize answers?

Return to the decisive fact and linked lesson. Explain why the closest alternative is weaker and when it could become correct. Retry the exercise in your own words, then use practice without exposing the credential bank.
