Flow visibility and data quality

Begin with one order and map three flows: product, record, and decision. A “shipped” status is not evidence of physical carrier handover; compare identifiers, quantity, units, and timestamps at each transfer. In the case, 40 cases and 400 eaches agree when a case contains ten, but a carrier document showing 38 cases leaves a custody discrepancy requiring a count and evidence. Compute service indicators using an explicit population and stable definition; on-time, complete and undamaged orders are different populations. Ask for a specific event or document in escalation, and do not turn a missing scan into a loss claim.
