Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Preparation
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Preparation is a free program on ARPS, the Arab Platform for Professional Studies. Independent CAPM preparation across four domains and 19 tasks in the current PMI outline; PMI owns the official exam and credential.
Important notice: Independent preparation. Arab Platform for Professional Studies (ARPS) does not administer the official CAPM exam, award CAPM, or claim PMI partnership or endorsement.
Four modules progress from project management fundamentals to predictive and adaptive methods and business analysis. Each lesson has an explanation, worked application, practice feedback, and a short check. A readiness mock and internal completion assessment are separate from PMI’s official exam.
Practical relevance
Hypothetical service, facility, and product cases clarify assumptions, decision rights, and acceptance boundaries.
Why this program
Each CAPM outline task is connected to a practical decision, with original items explaining why plausible alternatives fail.
Career relevance
Useful for new project team members and coordinators interpreting decisions, roles, and measures at work; it promises neither employment nor PMI certification.

Who it is for
This program serves new CAPM candidates reviewing the four domains and nineteen outline tasks through original cases in Arabic and English. It separates study readiness from eligibility for the official exam.
It also serves project coordinators, team members, and early business analysts who need to select approaches, interpret measures and roles, and justify decisions with evidence. Self-paced review is useful even for learners not planning to sit the exam soon.
Prerequisites
Learners need a basic sense of how a team shares a goal, schedule, and responsibilities, plus comfort with simple percentages and subtraction. Project leadership or experience with tools is unnecessary. Each lesson introduces terms before applying them, and examples can be revisited.
PMI sets eligibility and application requirements for the external CAPM exam. Enrollment here does not establish eligibility, so candidates should check PMI's official requirements themselves before applying.
What it does not offer
Awarding CAPM, guaranteeing a pass, or deciding PMI eligibility.
Reusing official PMI questions or claiming partnership.
This module starts by deciding whether work is a temporary project, ongoing operations, or a program coordinating related benefits, then selects a life cycle that fits scope boundaries and uncertainty. Learners connect planning inputs, milestones, staffing, stakeholders, communication, and risks to an executable decision. The lessons assign decision rights to the sponsor, project manager, and team while distinguishing assumptions, constraints, risks, and current issues. A proposed addition outside approved scope becomes a documented change request, with effects and an authorized decision, rather than an informal promise. Practice compares meetings, focus groups, standups, and brainstorming by purpose and audience. The module closes by linking delivery, benefits, operational transition, and closure without treating these as interchangeable outcomes.

Subject 2
Predictive Methods and Performance Control
This module examines when a predictive approach fits work whose requirements and sequence can be planned. Learners decompose scope into a work breakdown structure and work packages that can be estimated and controlled. They trace activity dependencies and the critical path to judge the effect of actual slippage on a finish date, keeping elapsed time distinct from the monetary value of work. A worked case calculates planned value, earned value, actual cost, schedule variance, and cost variance with correct units and signs. Quality and integration plans are connected to baselines, acceptance records, and change control. Finally, learners choose appropriate control artifacts, identify what to investigate before escalating, and locate the authority for changing the plan instead of relying on one indicator.

Subject 3
Adaptive Methods
This module asks when uncertainty and changing feedback justify adaptive delivery, and how organizational structure, assets, and constraints shape that choice. Learners turn a slice of scope into a small iteration goal that can be tested, then prioritize backlog items by value, dependencies, and visible success criteria. The lessons introduce flow and work-in-progress signals, including what those signals can and cannot prove. Scrum, Kanban, XP, and scaling components are compared without treating their roles and practices as synonyms. A service-portal case follows a valid request through to the worker who must receive it, while lower-value features wait. The module ends with a prioritization decision that names evidence, tradeoffs, and the limits of progress claims based only on item counts.

Subject 4
Business Analysis
This module separates the responsibilities of business analyst, process owner, process manager, product manager, product owner, and external stakeholder, including who may accept requirements. Learners select communication channels for an audience and decision, then use elicitation to write traceable user stories, use cases, and requirements. A roadmap connects desired outcomes to features and releases, while analysis artifacts are adapted for predictive and adaptive delivery. Testable acceptance criteria are compared with results, backlog items, and trace records before recommending release. A digital-library case distinguishes an observed privacy defect from a broader harm that has not been established, tests whether the affected feature can be isolated, and identifies the scope decision owner. The module ends with an evidence-based accept, limit, or delay recommendation.

How the route works
Professional Certification Preparation programs help learners prepare for a recognized external certification through structured knowledge, review, practice questions, and readiness assessments. Arab Platform for Professional Studies (ARPS) does not administer the certification owner's official exam.
Structured self-paced study aligned to the current external certification scope, with knowledge review, practice questions, readiness checks, and internal mock assessments.
Focused preparation for a specific external certification.
Content aligned to the current official exam scope when available.
Practice questions and internal readiness assessments.
Clear separation between Arab Platform for Professional Studies (ARPS) preparation and the official external exam.
Assessment
The route includes an internal assessment for Arab Platform for Professional Studies (ARPS) completion eligibility and separate mock/readiness assessments that are not the external official exam.
Assessment attempts: 2 per assessment, 7 days apart
The pass mark is announced before the program is published.
Certificate
The Arab Platform for Professional Studies (ARPS) credential confirms completion of the preparation program only; the target professional certification requires passing the external issuer's examination under its rules.
Disclaimer: Any internal preparation-completion credential is not CAPM or PMI endorsement.
