Frame risk scope and evidence

The module begins by defining a service, objective and decision owner before opening a risk register. Learners separate observed delays from estimated exposure and record an approved escalation trigger without turning a training threshold into a universal rule. They then write a driver-event-consequence chain, link each existing control to the part it can affect and test an alternative explanation before attributing an outage to one cause. Finally, they organize conflicting logs, assumptions, measurement periods and confidence in a reviewable evidence table. The three fictional cases cases require calculations, source reconciliation and decisions within the specialist's authority. The module produces a scope card, a testable risk statement and an evidence register that distinguishes established facts from matters needing resolution, including urgent effects that cannot wait for scoring.
